This is the process of creating a one point perspective sketch. In this lesson students will learn about point of view, vanishing points, space, rhythm, dimension, and colour scheme. Students will be able to see how objects in the foreground and backgrounds must vary in size to really express that point of view. Now in this piece of art I first sketched my photo, then outlined it in black felt, and then I used chalk pastels to colour. Another technique that would be great for this is using the 'bleeding marker' technique with water based markers. Much like the chalk pastels this technique gives a very subtle colour effect that is really beautiful.
